• Name	Henry Chant
  	Henry & Susan Chant nee Vincent/Wakeman and their daughter Emma aged 1 arrived in Port Adelaide on board the "William Prowse" on 19 Aug 1854 having sailed from Plymouth on 25 May 1854. There was a piece in the Daily Herald newspaper (Adelaide) on 3 May 1917 about Henry Chant. It reads: A colonist of 63 years is Mr Henry Chant, formerly a well known yacht and boat builder of Port Adelaide, who was 92 years of age last Saturday. Mr Chant is now living at Port Augusta. His reminiscences are many, varied, and interesting. Born in 1825 at Salcombe on the south coast of England, about 21 miles east of Plymouth, he served seven years apprenticeship to a boat builder at Plymouth, at the time the coastguard service was no sinecure. He cam to Port Adelaide in 1854. Mr Chant's first care after looking round was to obtain work, which he and five fellow passengers who were all carpenters and joiners, obtained at Mr Farr's timber yard. Mr Chant labored there for some time, and though not at his own trade, long outstayed most of his shipmates, but eventually left to establish himself in the business of boatbuilding at Birkenhead. In the 1851 census, Henry Boat builder aged 25 was living in Buckley St with his wife Susan 22 and their son Henry T aged 1 month and Henry's parents John 67 Fisherman/ pauper and Sarah 58 pauper.
