Notes - on page 14 of "The Salcombe & Hope Cove lifeboat history and also in "A Salcombe photographer" there are two photo's of Philip Chant 2nd Engineer and Edwin Chant 2nd Coxwain standing next to Eddie Distin and Gerald Shepherd.
And again with knitted hoods on at the back of The Alfred & Clara Heath lifeboat. The years that lifeboat was in service was from 1930 - 1940 making PHILIP Edwin Sr around late 40's early 50's and his Son George Philip EDWIN around 25- 30?
